SOFTSWISS, a leading iGaming technology provider, has secured compliance certification for its Game Aggregator in Peru, marking a significant milestone under the country’s newly revised regulatory framework. This achievement positions SOFTSWISS among the first suppliers fully prepared to operate in the burgeoning Peruvian market.
The certification follows Peru’s updated legislative framework, introduced in February 2024, which mandates that all operators, platform providers, and game suppliers obtain approval from the Ministry of Foreign Trade (MINCETUR) by January 1, 2025. This framework, accredited through testing by GLI, ensures that SOFTSWISS complies with all technical and legal requirements to offer its services legally in Peru.
Max Trafimovich, CCO at SOFTSWISS, commented on this milestone: "The newly regulated framework is set to attract international gaming companies and investors, paving the way for further expansion in the iGaming sector. We’re proud to be among the first companies to complete the necessary procedures and be fully prepared for this promising market."
The Peruvian gambling market is among the fastest-growing in Latin America, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.97% and an estimated market volume of $420.6 million by 2029. The nation’s increasing smartphone penetration, expected to reach 77.78% by 2029, adds further potential for digital gaming expansion.
This latest achievement also highlights a busy period for the Peruvian gaming sector, with other companies like 7777 Gaming, Games Global, and Habanero also obtaining MINCETUR approval.
This certification in Peru follows the company’s recent regulatory approval in Brazil, another fast-evolving iGaming market. The SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator, already the largest content hub in the iGaming industry, features over 27,000 titles with industry-leading uptime of 99.999%. In November 2024, a Kantar survey rated the Game Aggregator with a client satisfaction score of 8.1 out of 10, reaffirming its status as a reliable and innovative solution.
SOFTSWISS has consistently showcased its commitment to compliance and excellence across the Latin American region, with these certifications reinforcing its leadership in the market. Additionally, insights shared by SOFTSWISS in October 2023 revealed that Latin American players, particularly those in Peru, display a strong preference for sports betting, especially football.
The SOFTSWISS team is poised to discuss its expanding portfolio and partnerships in Brazil, Peru, and other key markets at the upcoming ICE Barcelona iGaming event from January 20–22, 2025. With its commitment to regulatory compliance, innovation, and client satisfaction, SOFTSWISS is well-positioned to lead in the rapidly evolving Latin American gaming industry.
